You might have the wrong information. Philippines remains to be the texting capital of the world due to the magnitude of the volume of short messaging system or SMS the country sends out everyday, based on the Swedish telecom provider ERICSSON. Telecom executives estimate that about 200,000 text messages are sent daily in the Philippines. See and read the report on http:/money.inquirer.net/topstories/view_topstories.php?yyyy=2005&mon=07&dd=25&file=2

I don't think the Philippines is the 2nd text capital in the world. We should be ranked first. It has always been that way since 5 years ago. And I also think that you know it, and by saying that we are the 2nd text capital in the world you can get more responses. Not bad.

I agree that we are included in text capital in the world. But I am not sure about the rankings. I have not read yet any articles about it. Anyway, it's nice meeting you here. Goodluck and happy earning too!

2nd lang?!? hehehe. Well, since we have the cheapest SMS in the world, I do think we are the text capital. As mentioned by one of our responders, 200,000 SMS in a day is a really BIG number. I think even Hong Kong can't reach that.

I agree that the Philippines is a text "addict" but I'm not sure if it is ranked 2nd text capital of the world.

yes i agree?why because it's expensive to call unlike here in US if you have the same network you can talk whenever you want, but in the Philippines, text is the cheapest and they even give promos for text so why not get addicted to it?the load is so cheap, and it is so fun.
