SIU has inked a new contract with Coach Lowery. It is reported to be about $750,000 per year...for seven years. I'm very happy about it. This should give some stability to the Salukis after year after year of losing coaches or wondering about it. Now let's move on getting the Arena fixed!

Yeah Coach!!!!Given the names of some of the schools that were allegedly courting him, I think it says great things about Coach Lowery that he was willing to commit to the school and his team. And, I'm glad that SIU found a way to pay him what he deserves. Of course, you know the Sunday Southern will be full of people b*tching that he makes double what the University president makes.
