Are you ambitious???

Do you have a plan as to what you wanna do in your life? I'm turning 18 in 4 days and so far i haven't had the slightest idea of what I'm gonna do with my life, I've always lived with my present and i was surprised to find my ambitionless self when a professor asked what I wanted to do with my life...Well atleast I know i want to be well established, though working for money, I hate to do a business and take the risks involved.But I couldn't tell him what sort of a job I wanted to be at and what sort of a pay I would expect, and whether would I be well qualified for the job I wanted!!!........Have you been through a similar problem, how did you chose your destiny? Pls help me out.

First thing's first.. Happy birthday!
18 is a good and bad number. Cause when you're 18, you'll feel like the entire planet will pressure to get a job.. any job! But at the same time, 18 is the official age to do almost anything you would like to do.
I wanted to be a proffesional Hollywood scriptwriter since I was 16. I'm 23 now and I'm only a little closer. Don't think whatever you would like to do will happen whenever you want it. It takes time. But since you're just 18, you have a lot of time. As for what you would like to do, don't you think that's a question WE should be asking YOU? You and only you will know what fills your heart with joy. But if you want ideas just take a look around..
Look at your room.. Is there something in it you feel that you love and understand? For example, do you love using the computer? Would you consider working as a programmer or repairing hardware? Maybe you have books or magazines in your room.. Do you want to be an editor, reporter, columnest? If you can't find anything that interests you in your room, then get out of the house and take a walk.. Just look at everything around you and I'm sure you'll notice something that makes you think.. Hey, maybe I can do that.
