boy 2 1/2 years old came back forms is fathers house with a belt mark on is butt and two broken blood vesels on his butt and the boy starts crying whan he hears his dads voice

That sounds alot like abuse. I was paddled as a child but never to that extent. I believe in disciplin but not abuse. I would consider alerting the authorities. At 2 1/2 there is nothing that child could have done to warrant that.

A 2 1/1 year old should not be spanked that hard. Yes you may need to swat their butt quick if they act up or pop their hand. I think time out is the best overall. This child shouldn't be around his dad it seems to me like his dad has an anger problem or can't tolerate his son.

That is cause for concern. That is considered child abuse. Maybe you should talk to his dad before you let him go again and tell him your concerns about what he is doing. I will be praying for you. God Bless

i believe in the saying "spare the rod spoil the child" but i guess that one went a lil too far.
