Have you ever requested from your local radio station to play a certain song for you? How often do you listen to and phone in song requests? What song(s) do you usually request for? I did. Regularly, every hour on the hour, especially on special occasions. I would go from one station to the next phoning requests and greetings. All throughout the special day. I usually request love songs and rock ballads. Of course, it depends on the program format of the hour. If it is a lovesong special or a folk/rock/country segment. Sometimes just to be different, I request a totally inappropriate, unplayable song (giggles). Do tell me your radio experience bad or good. Have a great time posting. Keep smiling!

Yes, but not regularly. I used to phone some of our local FM radio stations here in the Philippines. I was once a DJ in one of our local fm stations here and i think i still like to be a dj. And so, at this time, at the different job, i still drop by in there and have some greetings and song requests. Radio station experienced by me was so great.

Hello there mister dj. Oh wow! Could you have been a victim of mine? I wonder..hehe. I knew of a guy with the same name as yours. Highly improbable that it was you. I miss pulling legs in the radio you know. I'm dying to go back home and start messing with the djs again hehehe. So wow to know you were once one of the people I loved listening to. I appreciate you dropping in here. :)

I used to do that when i was in college but not that much. I was influenced by a friend who was very much into music and she calls in to request certain songs and dedicate them to us her friends. I didn't have her patience to redial as the station is flooded w/ calls and it's hard to get through. Now i only get to listen to the radio when i am in the car (i have xm satellite where it is commercial free). Mostly i just buy the CD of my favorite singer to enjoy their songs. I admire your patience & persistence, sick4muzick! Keep on rocking!

Hi 7m! Haha I remember those days. There's nothing that compares to listening to your song on the radio being played out for you and you alone. Call me crazy but I just love it. Patience and persistence, yup these are my middle names. I appreciate it that you took time to drop in to my discussion. Have fun.

I have a 9 year old nephew, now all I have to look for is a girl lol. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I enjoyed reading it. Have a great day and keep posting!

Hi! You know I think even with the internet around,I'd still listen to the radio the old fashion way. :) There's nothing like spending time alone with only the radio for company. Even at night when I go to sleep, I also turn on the radio like you. But I have the portable one that I could press to my ears and cuddle to sleep. Thanks for sharing your experience with the radio. Have a great day posting!

I am not much of a radio listener. the times that i turn on the radio, i like just to listen and enjoy the music. Im shy to call in for requests. it makes me nervous talking on the phone with the radio host. there was only one time when my friend ask me to request a song. i called and requested for the song. They never played it.but its ok.i didnt wait for it. my friend Sharda did.

i think you are really crazy. that is meant as a compliment. i, for one, am a musick lover too. unlike you i dont do "call in". i simply listen to the songs played on the radio. if they match my taste, i look for the song in the internet. i go for pop rock to alternative tunes. you too, have a great time posting. cool runnings.

Hi! Thank you for that compliment. Yes I guess "crazy" just about sums up my feelings towards music. I do love pop rock and alternatives. So you're a rocker huh? Thanks for the response. Keep rocking and happy posting!

Hi there sick4muzick! Now, here's something very familiar and if i'm not too old to remember... a year or two maybe, someone has been calling over ma' station and requesting for some weird old song! hehehe! But to go from one station to another, that would be an offensive move there to a DJ... tsk, tsk! if i only knew! Huh! When you said "sometimes just to be diff", i would say, i absolutely disagree with you sick4muzick! Why? Is it really sometimes? i'd say "all the time!" Ha ha ha! Ey, just droppin by to mess up your morning! Happy Easter!

Aawww..you're still my number 2 dj, sweetie...LMAO Hey! I wasn't that disagreeable, was I? It's not offensiveness, you call it DIPLOMACY or is it DEMOCRACY? or just MUSICRAZY? I know there's a word for it. I'm too happy to figure it out. Just want to treat everyone fair and square, no offense meant ;). Dropping by sure made my Easter morning juanMYdj! Dont just drop, stay until I can pick you up!
