Please share your best potty training tip with me! My son is 2, and has no interest. So i'm not pushing it, but i'd like him to get comfortable enough to sit on the potty, right now he is SCARED! We have tried a little potty on the floor and the seat that goes on top of the regular toilet seat. Thanks!

Just give him time but leave the potty training items out so if he does show an interest he can try again. My lil man is three and is only daytrained right now. My eldest was also three when he trained. If your child is afraid, don't do anything right now. You don't want to traumatize him. It would be a good thing to let him go to the potty with Daddy or an uncle, cousin or other male figure in his life so he gets the idea of what it's all about. Once he is passed his fear try making a game out of it like aiming for a frootloop or a cheerio that you've dropped into the potty or the big toilet. Good luck and don't worry. He'll train when he's ready. :)

We used a kitchen timmer. Set it for every 10 min. After a couple days my son got use to it and evenally didnt need the timmer. Took about 2 wks in total.

This is a great method. We use this at the child care centre where I work except we set it for every 30min and all the toilet trainers run to the toilet when they hear it go off, it works very well.

My boy is 3 years old now. He didn't want to sit on his potty. He goes directly on adult toilet bowl. Maybe because he didn't see us using his potty. You know children are good in doing what they see on adults. Now at his age, he can sit directly and poo on his own. He'll only call us when he is finished. :-)

My oldest was so easy he did not like being wet so when I showed him that if he went to the potty he could stay dry he was all for it.Now as for the second one he does not care one way or the other put he hate to sit on the potty so we are takeing him out side to go pee and that helps I also had A friend that let her little boy pee in a can and he likes the sound so he does it you just have to try things to see what works just dont push to hard or get stressed out
