How do you feel when somebody calls your "username" in his response?

I feel very nice when somebody gives me response and calls my name. It seems that my name has an identity rather than my avatar. How do you people feel if somebody calls your name? I think it makes something friendly ;) Looking forward for your comments. Thanks in anticipation.

Well Ali you know my answer. Hee hee hee. I love being called Grandpa Bob. It's not my user name. But it is what I close most responses/comments/discussions with. Sometimes I've even asked to be called this. So I feel very comfortable being called by my name here. Thanks and have a great day also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Aliasad, I couldn't agree more with you. I truly love it when people use my user name when responding or even leaving a comment. It makes it more personalized for me. Especially when they shorten mine to just beanie, it really makes my day. I have actually been trying to remember to do this, especially with members that I seem to respond to more than others. Since I feel that I know then in a sense through their discussions and responses. Thank you for a great discussion. I hope everyone feels this way. :)

I can't believe it! I was browsing through my friend's discussions and re-viewed this. I can't believe i haven't replied when i first saw this a few days ago! LOL! Yes, like you, aliasad, i like to reply in discussions and post the user's name in my replies. I think it adds more familiarity between us fellow myLotters here. ^___^ don't you think so? =)

The username that I am currently using is not my real name but it's just OK for me if somebody responds to my comments or discussions using this username. After all, I have chosen this name as my identity at this discussion board... In the event that I comment to your discussions in the future, I'd surely address you with your username if you'd desire me to..

Yes, you are right that user name is of our own choice so if called by the same would not mean something wrong! I didn't mean to force others to do so vesuvius! Thanks for sharing!

I think everyone likes to be called by his name. I guess, mentioning the username in the response has the same feeling too. You feel that people do remember your name, and pay respect to your name too. Well, I gotta admit that I seldom mention the username in the response, if the response is meant for the particular person, or to the topic. I'll only mention when I need to specify to whom this comment is for. Perhaps I should change this habit by now. :p You really started a good discussion, Aliasad. ^_^

I guess the responder has no choice but to call me in my username. But that won't be a problem to me because I am used to it even in real life some people call me by my username.

Yea, Aliasad, I think it is nice to use the username in the responses. Do you think it is a bad thing? I hope not because I thought that calling someone by his/her name was a good thing. I have done is many times in my life so I don't want to be rude. I don't think it is a rude thing. Feel free to add me as a friend. By the way, I love your picture (avatar) it is so cute. Have a nice day. Pablo

I am not sure how I feel about this... I have had this happen a couple times. I was kind of shocked that someone would type that long name.. hehe. Most of the time people avoid typing LONG names. I guess it is kind of respectful. I personally wouldn't do it :P

well, i feel little bit odd, but then i don't mind it.. because they need not know my name to call me properly.. so it's not their mistake..
