after a long time of not being together?
whenever i meet long lost friends, they always tell me that i became more slender. it's mostly the first line they say. it's funny but i never lost weight. i gain weight at times like 1 or 2 kilograms but not more. just so funny to hear that i look thinner than before. haha. well, i always reply that maybe they just gained weight and i didn't that's why i look smaller.
well, we just laugh about it anyway.
how about you? what are the usual lines your long lost friends/relatives say when they see you again?

They always say: 'How are you? It's been such a long time since we last talked. You have gained so much weight, huh?' Then the common follow ups will be: 'Where are your kids now? Are they working already? How many have been married?' It so happens that until now, none of my kids have gotten married and it is true that I have gained too much weight, it is about 15 kilograms. You'll know now why it is very noticeable.

yep. people notice our physical attributes first before saying hello sometimes. better to just laugh about it.

Honestly, no one ever recognizes me. I always have to make the first move to greet an old friend, relative, or a classmate during my schooldays. And after I greet them they always say "I didn't recognize you!" I guess because I used to be short, dark-skinned and really skinny when I was young. I probably gained a little weight when I began to have children, it's the usual thing anyway.

Well, i don't really ask what they actually mean when they tell me they didn't recognize me. I just take it that i looked a lot different when during our time together. but i do hope they meant it in a positive way!

Well most of my relatives would always say that, "if I'm still alive?" Most of my uncles do ask me this types of question, a way that I always try to find as some like of amusing!;)
They also try to tell me sometimes that I was sort of beefing up, that I am adding up more weight to what I'm supposed to be.

yep. that line is funny, too "buhay ka pa?" or in english, "are you still alive?". this line is actually common to close friends but is an insult if you aren't so close at all.

When I come across someone I have not seen in awhile they usually mention how I still look so much like I did years before . Other then my hair changing , I am not much different . I am a little bigger but no one but myself ever seems to notice this as I was always small and even with the extra weight , I am still so much smaller then everyone else that they don't seem to notice this . The other question usually is how many children I have now . I have always loved children and everytime I haven't seen anyone in a long time I always have more then I did when they knew me last :)

yep. people mostly recognize first on how we look. it's by far the most basic observation they get. and conversations usually start up about our physical changes.

Hi!! Funny because they always had the same line. "Kamusta ka?" which means "how are you?"

usually, it should be that line i hear from them. but my closest friends and relatives say the other one, that i am slender and did not gain weight at all. sometimes, they even advice me to eat a lot when i already do. i hope to hear "kamusta ka" from them, too first thing when meeting them.

Every time that we having family reunion and school reunion they always tell me that I look so sexy but it has an opposite meaning because i'm a chubby person and sometimes after my diet and when they found me in some places they say that I lost weight. Every time they see me the very first thing that they notice is about my figure. It is okay for me when they see as fat or loss some weight as long as they call me sexy.

the first thing that they tell or ask is 'are you aleady pregnant?'. this question usually annoys me, but i just smile back and tell them that i am still not pregnant but i hope to be in the next few day.

Whenever I meet my old my friends and relatives the most common lines they would say is that I look like a fully grown man.In the sense that I also gain weight and they would asked me how many child do I have already.I then asked the same question to them in return.Lol
