What would you do when you promise someone a gift for some special occassion and then when the time comes, you find out that you have not enough money for that? Getting a cheap replica is out of the question because this person is very special and dear to you. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Dear Dipasrisamanta, I think that you should swallow your pride and be truthful with you special friend. I'm sure that if this person is so dear to you, that she/he would be very understanding about your situation. Or is this person just in for the goods only and you're being used. I don't think so. So either get the less expensive gift or just save the money and get it later.

Wow that is tough. I would probably just come clean and tell then you can't afford the gift right now, apologize, and if you want give an IOU for the gift when you have the money. But I don't even think that is necessary. If you explain the situation they will understand! Everyone is low on funds sometimes!
