Does coffee make you fat?

I drink coffee three or four times a day. I like it with 2% or whole milk. Also, I add a teaspoon full of sugar. So that makes 3-4 spoons of sugar per day. Can all this make me fat? I don't exercise but my three year old keeps me busy all the day. I also do all the chores around the house. My husband spends long hours in his office, so I am the one who takes care of the house and the kid. But still then, I am gaining weight. Is the sugar or the milk in the coffee making me obese? Please suggest. thanks in advance.

Boy my writing is helping me to convey information to other people now. Anyway, coffee robs your body of minerals and vitamins, it also dehydrate you and acts as a laxative. The sugar you are adding is dampening your immun system and leaving you open to germs and bacteria. You need to drink more water and cut out sugars and breads. You should see an improvement. Also take those kids for walks. Go play ball and have some fun to balance the housework. Good luck with this.

It's the sugar if it's anything. Coffeee with caffeine alone jumps your metabolism up, so if you drank it black or with splenda, you may actually lose weight, depending on the rest of your diet.

I would look to your diet. i would also think that coffee would speed your metabolism rather than make you fat.
