Yes, coconut juice is the best refreshment during summer. I like it because it also provides nourishment, and it cleanses our body fluids. I also love to make natural fruit juices like calamansi juice, melon, mango and black gulaman.

I like to make some, but I find it hard because I don't have ice-crusher in my home!;) Most of the juices I make all goes to my ever-dependable blender, we have alot of things in common, so I think we do "blend" with each other!;)LoL

I've never heard of buko juice. In the summer I try to drink a lot of ice cold bottled water, and pleny of iced tea. Lemonade doesn't hurt either. : ) As for summer food, nothing beats a slice of really cold watermelon. : )

I think any iced water would work. Mind you, iced water not iced soft drinks though. Sweet stuffs just make you more thirsty. :P

Well i guess this more depends on your style but i know everytime i go to england during summer vacation they are offering pimps. Everywhere i go you can get pimps mixed with various fruits and so forth. I have tasted a little of it and it actually isnt to bad. Ofcourse you can go with the classics resort drinks like pina colada or margaritts or all those usual popular drinks. Personally i think they are over done and what i would like is a nice freezing cold pint of cider. I would have this wether it is summer or winter it is always great to me. But like i said it all depends on the type and style of drinks that you like. You have cocktails or you have hard drinks, it varies from person to person. cheers Plunt

hi lanie, Yes, i agree fresh young buko (coconut) juice tastes good. When i was young, everytime we went to my grandfather's sister's house, our uncle always pick buko for us to drink. Sometimes we drink it pure while on other times we add buko meat, evaporated milk, Royal true orange, and biscuits on it. With the addition of ice, it makes a real thirst quencher made in heaven. Now, we do not get to have buko juice as often as we like since we live in the city now and buko is a bit pricey in the market. So, in the absence of buko juice, icy cold water beats the summer heat for me. On top of that it is free and always available anytime.

If it's that hot outside, I have to just stick to water. Anything else only make me thirstier. I love iced tea, so that could be one also. But no sodas, juice, or anything else. The sweet just makes it worse. Iced tea helps temporarily, but water is the only think to truely quench my serious thirst.

Hi Lani! Summer time is here once again and I can't wait to go to the beach. Its really a hot summer so probably I'll bring with me a yummy and cool halo-halo. I really love halo-halo during a hot summer. Actually I eat halo-halo even if it's not summer because it's my favorite food at all times. I like fruit shakes too. My favorite flavor is our very own national fruit, mango. I even like the unripe mango with alamang. I like buko juice too. There was a time when my grandmother brought a liter of buko juice from our uncle's rest house, I drank it all not leaving even a single drop of it.

My favorite summer drink is a smoothie. I have two combinations that I alternate drinking. The first is a combination of mango and carrots. It may sound weird but it tastes really good and not only that, it gives energy too. The second is a combination of banana and pineapple. My youngest kid loves this although my wife doesn't like it very much. I would only drink buko juice if it's straight from the shell and not the bottled kind, because they have already added sugar to it.
