Both. Neither woman is balanced in any sense of the word. Politically, Ann Coulter goes too far to the right and Hillary just goes too far, period.

Well, I think you have to look at what each woman does. Ann Coulter is a paid pundit who gets her celebrity from spinning the right wing rhetoric. She uses arrogance and often a venomous tone to deliver her take on what's going on in politics according to her view. Now Hillary Clinton has been a pro-active member of politics going back to her days as a lawyer when she pursued issues like child neglect and abuse, to numerous issues she proactively took on when her husband was in the White House such as the treatment of women in other foreign countries and how many countries could benefit economically by encouraging their women to be productive earners through 'micro-loans' they could use to start up quality businesses. She was and is also savvy when it comes to speaking with foreign leaders. She is on the Senate arms committee and more. Now please I am not campaining for her behalf as I feel she comes with many faults as well. But, you asked who is most significant of the two with respect to American Politics, and I would have to go with the one who is 'proactive' and not the one that spins the rhetoric of the party.

Significance in the sense of news making- Hillary Clinton Significance in the way of impact- Ann Coulter. Ann Coulter with her relentless berating of the liberal left in her several books has quickly risen to the most prominent conservative author. Her impact is felt among liberals and conservatives alike. Mrs. Bill Clinton started her news making with her husbands two terms and there has been much speculation since. Combined with her move to New York to run for Senate, she always has a way of getting her name in the news.
