What's the worst part of being a WAHM?

Okay I just asked for a best in my last discussion. Now what's the worst part of being a wahm? I think trying to meet deadlines when the kids won't stop screaming at each other. Not getting out of the house like most people do during the week can get a little stressful as well. How about you?

I have to agree..the isolation, has to be the worst part..no interaction with other people, other than, the family is tough at times.I still wouldn't change a thing....

I do agree, I think that is why so many are turning to the internet these days. Even when you can't speak to someone face to face you can still communicate through blogs/forums and chats.

I missed your previous discussion so will ansewer here: Best part is* Knowing that my children are safe and I don't have to worry about that. Worst part is* Trying to work in the summer, when they are all at home ( I have 4), it can get pretty silly at times. The teen wants to do one thing and the pre-teens want to do another. Then the toddler wants to be part of it all and drives them nuts sometimes. Which in turn can get nerve racking for mom. lol

for me the worst part is self motivation. i tend to want to do everything else around the house BUT the work at hand. it's real difficult for me to keep myself focused on my work, luckily i don't have deadlines in the work i do. my earnings are directly related to my work tho.

I love being a WAHM and be able to stay at home with my 2yo all day. But you're right, when things need to be done and ds is in demanding mode, it can be quite stressing. Anyway, I don't think it would be less stressing if I had to leave him everyday in a daycare. If you work outside and your child is sick you still have to be with him/her, and if you have to be in your office that day it might be as well very hard. Isolation isn't an issue for me, maybe because I work in 3 different jobs and have to receive phonecalls and relate with people. Sometimes I leave for field work (I'm Geographer)taking my son with me. It's the right amount of time outside the house. So yes, the combination of deadlines and a kid willing to have full attention from mama is the worst part.
