As technology is advances first, the computer you purchased six months back is old now so is software. How often you update your computer ? do you upgrade your computer or purchase new. I purchased computer 2 years back for Rs 15000/- and today i sold it in working condition for Rs 2000/-. Please share your experiences ......

I using a Pentium 3 800Mhz machine with a Ram of 256MB. I bought it on 2000. My ram memory is upgraded from 64mb to 256mb. Now its older but its still powerful to work with the day to day programs and application. I not a gamer so i don't want a graphics performance for my pc. I love my computer very much, for its powerful performance and its functioning. if i bought a low end pc with a medium processor and other features at that time. It will not be here. I'm proud to take a good decision at that time. Even if i paid more money for my PC but i gained many fold from that. Now i gonna buy a laptop from Dell. The model is Dell Inspiron e1505. I configured it with the latest features and peripherals, so as to make the overall gain higher. I'm now happy that i will get a new laptop this summer. Technology is advancing that's right but i'm sure if you have the patience then you can use the computer for many more years with good performace. Buying a computer which is the top at the time of buying will lead to overall gain increase and it will help you in many ways. I will not sell this computer because i know that this will get only a few thousands now. ---------------- Thanks, Ashok Sugathan

My PC is already 5 years old and I can't install new generation games on it. The motherboard and the video card are unable to support them. However, it is still reasonably good for surfing purposes. I also have a laptop and it is already 3 years old and I just bought a new one with Core 2 Duo processor and 2 MB RAM. I haven't finished with the installation though.
