I love all kinds of books. I like fantasy books, cookbooks, biographies, love stories, westerns and a whole lot more. What kind of books do you enjoy? Any favorite authors? I like Fern Michaels, Janet Evonovich, just to name two.

Like you, I enjoy reading all types of books...historicals, autobiographies, biographies, cookbooks, inspirationals, the list goes on and on. It really depends upon my mood. My favorite genre though is historical romance fiction. I like the ones that are really heavy on the historical material though. My favorite authors in this genre are Bertrice Small and Linda Lael Miller. I also enjoy Fern Michaels writing.

I have quite a few Linda Lael Miller books also. Here lately I have been into magical and fantasy realm type books. I also just started Paula Deen's Memoirs book which is grand. I am waiting on three books from two trilogies I am reading and a series that I am reading that are due out this month.

I am not a big book reader but when I do I usually read sports books. I enjoy literature on most sports or sports figures. I have not read any books other than sports since I was younger. I usually enjoy reading magazines and newspapers.

I like a variety of books although I prefer fiction over non-fiction. I read fantasy, sci-fi, romance, mystery, horror...if the storyline is good and it catches my attention I'll read it. Some of my favorite authors are: Piers Anthony, Elizabeth Moon, Nora Roberts, Stephen King, Kathleen Woodiwiss, and many more. I'm an avid reader so have a lot of favorites. I also re-read books because if they are good it's like visiting with an old friend.

i like reading true books. i really enjoyed reading "go ask alice" . i like the fact that it isnt made up and that you can imagine that these things really did happen. i also like to read murder books that are true. i have read about andrea yates, dahmar, gacey. i dont get to read as often as i would like, but when i have a chance, the non-fictions are what i perfer. i am not a big fan of sci-fi or fantasy. i cant imagine myself ever getting into the harry potter books, even though i keep getting told that they are great. maybe i should just give it a try and see what its like.

I am partial to high fantasy, though I read other genres, too. I'm not really into nonfiction, since I read mostly for entertainment. Authors I read include (in no particular order): Guy Gavriel Kay Gene Wolfe Paula Volsky Stephen King Elizabeth Haydon Stephen R. Donaldson Jacqueline Carey J.K. Rowling Kate Elliott Frank Herbert John Norman Robin Hobb David Eddings Laurell K. Hamilton Marion Zimmer Bradley There are more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head right now. I tend to prefer series of books to single volumes, as I thoroughly love epic tales. Often, I shop for books on amazon.com and the lists and recommendations lead me to new authors.
