Do children tend to grieve death easier than adults?

My nephew saw his dad get murdered. He seems to be taking it alot easier than most adults would have. My cousin died from cancer last week, her daughter seems to be not effected by it. Why is this? Also my daughter had a dream last night and she woke up crying. She would not stop for at least an hour. She said "I got lost in the grocery store. I wasn't ever going to see mommy or daddy ever again. The police came and got me and took me to jail" I explained how it was just a dream. She continued to cry saying." I wasn't ever going to see mommy and daddy again. What do you think?
