Hi Terilee, I haven't but I would love to. I have been able to trace our family history back to the mid 1700's I didn't have to do a lot of the work as a book had been published in 1947 with the family History beginning when the Magee family immigrated to Canada. I would love to do it up to the present date and then some how have it published, In a way I am sort of lucky as the family( mine) has not grown a lot. I have a ton of questions as to what should be in it but Yes I really would love to

Hi Robin. You're so lucky to have so much information. It's all so very fascinating and such a great gift to pass down to the kids and their kids. Their's always someone in the next generation, or at least the next, who picks up the quest and continues to develope the family history. Go to my website. Look around. I can tell you how to get it all organized and published really inexpensively.

I have used the 'book' feature on my Family Tree Maker software and printed a book on one family line for distribution at the familoy reunion. And I have uploaded my tree at worldconnect at rootsweb.com. Genealogies are always changing - finding more ancestors, births, deaths, etc. - about the time you could actually get one published, the information would have changed.

It's a never ending quest Jans5411. There's always more babies and family names to add to the tree. It's always growing. Good for you! what a treasure.

I have not. My husband knows his genealogy but my father had a common German name and it would take a lot of trouble to find out what one. All I know is the general area, North Germany and Austria, and as for my mother, I know the general area and who came from where, but not enough to delve too much into it, but because my sons are adopted, there is no need to tell them that they came from -- except that their birth mother's family came from Northern Germany and that was a good coincidence or the fact that when we first saw them, they looked so much like me because I made that request with the social worker.

You should right down everything you know so far. Sometimes it helps to see it that way. Keep searching.
