Man made money, is money making man mad ? is $ everything for you ?

it is true that we started trade the barter way. Give me oil I will give you food. Then came the good days of coins bronze, silver, gold etc. There was a time when leather coins were also used. Later on someone realized that trading in paper currency would be easier. Hence the switch to paper currency. Today everyone wants to get rich and that is true of every region of the world. However it should not be at the cost of your happiness or your friends or your true love. I think money can never buy you these three things true love, true friends and true happiness.

Money means a heck of a lot to me because I never have any! I never lived in a time when (bartering) was around!

for me, money is only a tool for me to survive in this world... as long as i have enough and i can fulfill all my basic needs, i will be satisfied... i know money is important... but for me of course family and relationship comes first before money... and also God... i put God as number one, family number two and money may be number three...

If we are not careful, the desire to make money can overtake us at the expense of helping others and serving God, which is the real reason why we are on the Earth in the first place.

Hi samrat, this is an interesting discusssion. I don't believe money means everything to me. Money does not buy me love, care and concern from the most important people in my life. Money will not be able to bring back the loved ones which i've lost as well. However, everything in life needs money. I cannot put my little ones in school if i don't have the money. I cannot feed them, i cannot provide shelter for them, i cannot afford them healthcare, I cannot bring them for holidays, etc.. In short, money is not everything in the worl but eveything in the world needs money. - Lyn

it's a lot easier to belive in things you can see and touch than the things that are purely emotional, but the wise know to see not only with their eyes... I think that most people just get dissapointed by this issues because is a lot harder to understan them and so, they stick to the "secure" thngs they can handle, the problem is, we all need this as much as the food or the air; why? you won't die, but the life you'll live will be hollow, not worth the effort. At least this is the way I see it.

money is valuable but not everything the relationship and friendship has more value compare to money

Yes money is making man mad. People are doing many crimes for the sake of money. Money is influencing the major things in our life. Money is needed for life, but it should not control Man. Man should control it. Relation and friendship is more important than money. People should understand this thing

I believe like you, that money is not as important as relationships. Money is a great invention that advanced human kind, but it is only a tool to get things, and not the cause for which I live for. I once was ashamed for wanting more money. I thought I am a bad person. Because of these thoughts, I couldn't get money - I was sometimes ashamed to ask my wage!!! Now I know I deserve money, and that money can't be bad - it is only paper. What moght be bad is what we do with the money. I use the money to make mine and my family's life better, and after that, I contribute to society - it might be direct money, or give some of my time after I could spare it because now I have enough money and no worries. I am not mad about money, and I won't do anything for it...

money cannot buy happiness. I need only enough money to live, to provide for my children & family, beyond that, I do not chase money or make money my life. That is why there are such sayings as "money cannot buy happiness" and "money is the root of all evil" Because people become obsessed and stop at nothing to have more, and they never get enough.

money is important!!!!!!!!! it can get you anything in this world.... love,friends,respect etc etc etc!!! but it will last only till money lasts! b ut true friends and relations will last for ever! so earn money but never let it take over you!

I need to money to buy the things to survive. That is it. I do not worry about material things. I try not to worry about money at all, because I know my God will provide for me. I really don't like materialistic people. I know money is needed and that is one thing. But to make it everything? That is "the love of money" which is what makes people evil. I do however agree with you that a lot of people day after day, become more and more "in love" with money.

I only want enough money to keep me comfortable. Everything else is extra. I would rather give to charity than to be mega rich.

i dont think i am mad obout money. every one in our life wants to earn a lot of money me too. u might be wondering then who i am not mad about money. we should remember, atleast what i am mad about is a simple thing happiness. how can we get happy by improving our life style and for that we require money. i want to keep my parents and myself happy. how will i do it by improving our life style. i dont want to see myself and my family along the road side looking for shelter. to keep my family comfertable i have to earn money to satisfy their need. if u see in a way i am mad about money why becouse i am mad to keep my family and myself happy. i dont say that only wealthy peaple are happy no a driver can also be happy but due u think he is able to satisfy the needs of his family. to satisfy others and ur self u need money in the present world. i dont think money is every thing for me, why i want to earn a lot of money is becouse i want my family happy but i am mad about satisfing need of my family and so i am mad obout money. money comes second or even third or fourth........,family comes 1st.

Yes originally man did believe in the bartar system, and I think that this was a better way of living than the way we live today with so much money involved in everything we do, and with the money system it is making life a lot different and harder today. No money to me is not more important to me than relationships. Family and friends cannot compare to money but money is a necessity for today's living.

I could be the poorest woman in the world, but with the live I receive from my family on a daily basis, I consider myself the richest woman in the world. Money does not rule me, and I could live without, if needed. Greed is not something I was taught when growing up, and to resort to greed would be going against the person that I am.

It depends on the kind of lifestyle you want to lead. If you have a very high expectation in life, then money comes first. Money may not be be everything. It can't buy you happiness and love. Simply food, money only means your survival.

Money ruling mankind? I take it as a joke. No doubt money is important to maintain a decent life, it is not worth going after it mindlessly. Is there a possibility of man stop going after money when they think they have enough. Man always find money never enough. Money is important to maintain relationships. Hence, without money, there is unlikely to be any relationships. Many say money is secondary when it comes to family and relationship. I too choose family over money, but that is provided I have enough money to support the family. If there is no money, how is the family going to survive. So, you will still have to strive to make money and in the process neglect your family and relationship. Ultimately, it is still money more important than family and relationships :P

this reminded me of a saying... EVEN if you have enough cash, you cannot remove all your troubles. But, you can buy a LUXURY CRUISE LINER, and a small dingy boat... to put all your troubles in the dinghy.. and sail that along your luxury cruiser. GOodluck. MONEY is everything. Atleast now.
