Hi all of my fellow mylotters! I have a question and you are requested to kindly respond me in order to evaluate an average time required to wait for first response. Well, I have waited so far for four hours to have my first response to a discussion. What about you? Do you feel comfortable with it?

Well it all depends on what the dicussion is about. I think the 2nd discussion i have posted since i've been here has yet to get a response. Usually it takes about 4 minutes to get a response. But it is down to how the question is set out. And also if the users have interest in that particular discussion.

Yes, but sometimes we have a thought for a certain question as a good but it would fall in bad one...

That's nothing! I had one that sat around for three months before one of my friends dug it up and responded to it. I thought it was never going to get a response! As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy as long as I get a response in the first day. Sometimes none of my friends are on, or there's just no one around who's interested in whatever I'm talking about. I guess I'm a pretty patient person as far as this goes.

Four hours is not bad. I've waited four days before. It varies sometimes. Patience may be a virtue, but it sure is hard to have sometimes. : )

Hi aliasad! There is no formula to evaluate the minimum time required or wait to recieve a response. Even i have many such discussions for which i din't recieve even a single response. I accept that in that unresponded discussions there are few discussions which are not fit to recieve responses, but few others which i think that is of good quality and message also stays without being responded. If only we have the option of deleting discussions then i will surely delete the my discussions which has zero response for more than ten days!

Yes, I agree that no formula is there. Well friend, let me know your unresponded discussions... may I help you! Surely I do. Thanks for your comments too.

It took sometimes more than a day to my first response. That looks so nice when I have my first response. It seems that somebody has weighted me in a way by attending my discussion. I feel that we must respond to others and the friends like you are always welcome ;)
