We did a little one for my granddaughter this morning. She is really old enough to no what is on the go. She wanted to stop at each egg and eat. We had to keep showing her to put it in her basket and keep going. Next year, she will be a little old probably still won't understand so much.

Yes, we took our oldest (2 1/2) to one at our church, we had to tell him to slow down though, because he was quite good at it, and taking all of the eggs, He came home with a basket full, and then after easter dinner we put some out in the yard for him to find, and he had a blast. He loved it. WE let him open a couple of eggs and have a few pieces of candy, but the rest he'll get gradually. It was nice at the church, as they filled them with little toys, (stampers) and money, and bouncy balls, so he doesn't have TOO much candy.

We did not have an egg hunt this year as my two are teenagers now and above that sort of thing. We used to though and it was great fun. I asked my daughter if she would like to do one for me this year but she declined. I tried buying eggs after Easter the past few years but found the shops did not have any on display any more so we missed out.

Yes, I took the kids to an Easter egg hunt yesterday that the Fire Dept puts on. It was SOOO cold and actually snowed some. WE are in Texas so that's a big deal here. LOL We did a family hunt today with my sisters and their kids. My son had so much fun...my daughter didn't have much fun since she's a sick little girl...she just kept walking around saying "i don't want to, mommy". LOL

Hello raydene, I brought my girls and my bunny yesterday to my friend's house. There were more than 30 kids present to celebrate Easter. All the kids began hunting for eggs around the huge garden. Afterwards, they were given an hour to design and paint the eggs. A little girl of 6 won the egg designing contest and her award is a month supply of real eggs. It was really fun and exciting. My friends and I started this Easter celebration 3 years ago. Happy Easter, raydene. :)

egg hunt - My toddler at the Easter egg hunt. It was soooooo cold so we just filled her basket and went home.
We went to an Easter egg hunt at 8 am but we stayed there for about 15 minutes because the weather was soooooooo cold. My toddler complained that her hands were freezing. We were not the only one who were in a hurry because other parents were going back to their cars. We took pictures of my toddler picking some eggs then we told her we have to go. She didn't complained because of the weather. Side effect, she has a cold now, but she told us, she had a great time with the egg hunt. I had to hide the rest of the candies and she seemed to forget it today..=)

I took my daughter this year. She had so much fun and got into it so much more then I thought she would. She was so cute running around with her little easter basket. She would get so excited everytime she would put an egg in her basket. She mainly got little chocolates and stickers. I'll end up eating the chocolate since I don't let her have candy yet.
