if you could choose the gender of your baby, would you?

In the age where sperm sorting is more affordable and more common, would you choose the gender of your child? Why or why not?

No, I wouldn't. Even though my husband wants us to have a daughter more than anything we don't want to "play god" and choose the gender of our possible future child. What would happen if everyone wanted one gender over the other? What would happen to the human race then if all that was born from now on were boys (or all girls)?

No I wouldn't pick the gender of my baby, just let things happen on their own. Although I have found out which gender the baby was for my last 2 pregnancies. Now have a 2 sons along with a daughter!

I personally would not choose the gender of my baby. I already have 2 boys aged 3 and 5 years old. Deep inside i do wish for a baby girl so that she could go to my alma mater. However, i also know that GOD knows what is best for me. I have a history of painful periods from the very beginning. I think it is hereditary. So i know i will not be able to cope when i see my daughter going through the same thing i did. I'm sure it will hurt me and bring back painful memories i had of my own menstrual cramps. I thank GOD that the painful periods have stopped since i gave birth to my second son. And I am thankful to GOD for blessing me with my 2 little ones. God Bless! - Lyn

If I could choose the gender of my baby I would like to have a baby girl. But it's only because I've already have a little boy and I want to know the different of raising different gender. Some people say that one is more diffucult than other but I guess you would never know unless you experience it for yourself...xx

No, I will not choose the gender of my child. It would be unfair to the unborn child who's gender I don't know yet. Whatever the gender of my child will be, I'll accept it. I would rather have the child get his/her own gender the normal way than experiment on it. After all, he/she is God's gift to me.

After having two girls, I'd love to have a boy. My first choice is not choosing; just hoping for a healthy child to have a life of experiences to share with.

This is a very controversial subject but I definately would not. I feel like my children are special gifts chosen for me and not for me to choose for myself. On a less spiritual level, I think allowing peole to do this would create an imbalance of gender in the population, especially those where one gender (usually male) is favored over others.

If I could choose the gender of my child, I'll choose a boy as my eldest and a girl for my next and another boy. I don't know, but as much as possible I want to have many boys.. I want to try the way where the sperms are just injected?! I want to have triplets but i think its very painful.. but after that i don't want to be pregnant again.. =)
