i am a big jordan fan. and to tell you the truth, jordan is jordan, lebron is lebron.. it is very flattering to be compared to a great player like jordan however, if i were lebron i wanted to be knows as lebron and not someone to a michael jordan.. the same thing with wade, wade idolizes jordan.. however, he wants to be known as d.wade as he is now..

Yeah that's a very nice point. Nobody wants to live under somebody's shadow. I do think though that Jordan is the greatest and will be always be the greatest player of all time. Although Wilt Chamberlain seem to be the king of all the stats. Nobody can acheive what Jordan has done for the game. I feel blessed that I was born during the Jordan era!

LeBron James is more of the next Magic Johnson rather than Michael Jordan. Although LeBron has special skills that makes him comparable to one of the best players ever, he is a big point guard that can penetrate and split apart the defense. I'm not saying Jordan never did that or anything, but Jordan was a shooting guard who shot jump shots often. I still say Kobe Bryant is most comparable to Michael Jordan, and LeBron James is most comparable to Magic.

Lebron has a 'Jordan' talent but he should pass times, and should have a 'heart' play like Michael Jordan.

All these athletes and many more have lots of talent. Vince is getting old all thought he still has got a lot of game in him. Kobe is not getting any younger either but is probably the single best player in the league right now. However, individuals do not make greatness. The most admiring thing about Jordan and we are beginning to see it in Lebron is the ability to be great and still make your team better. Lebron also has the advantage of youth. If he stays healthy and keeps the fire burning inside of him, he might be considered the next Jordan. That being said, I agree that it is not fair to compare but you can't really help it. It's like that with any sport; there are greats and those who aspire to be great. Jordan is the greatest and any NBA player will be compared to him when any talk of greatness is considered.

LeBron is not going to be the next Michael Jordan because he doesn't have the jump shot or the defensive skills to do so.

MJ is MJ and LJ is LJ...they are 2 different person...so it means there will be no next MJ but there will be an LJ on the history of the NBA...
