Friday was one of the best nights of my life!!

This night made up for all of the sadness I have been feeling all week over the loss of my sweet Meg. I had been seeing an advertisement on tv for a comedy show at one of the local casinos. When I saw the name of the opener, I had decided to go onto Myspace and see if it was who I thought it was. Lo and behold, it was a guy that I had worked with a few years ago. He is now making it big on the comedy circuit. Anyway, I got in touch with him, and he asked me to come see his show. So my hubby, my best friend, and I piled into the truck and travelled about an hour to the casino, only to find out that the show had been sold out!! Now, mind you, I am on the verge of a MAJOR crying fit thinking that I wouldn't be able to see my dear friend after all. But we made one last effort and asked one of the ushers if he could get a message back to my friend. He said he would try, and not even a minute later, my darling Sean was literally running out to see us. I've never gotten such a big bear hug in my life! I told him that the tickets were sold out, and that we at least wanted to see him before heading back home. And, bless his great big heart, he told us to "hold on a minute", went and talked to the promoter/manager of the tour, and got us in for FREE! He then proceeded to put on the best and funniest show I have ever seen. I laughed so much, that I forgot to take the camera out of my pocket and take pictures! We even stayed for the main comedian, who was awesome (but I'm still partial to my friend, of course), and he even got my hubby up on the stage along with another guy during one of his skits. It was hilarious. I think I had a laughter hangover the next day....I was exhausted. But it was so worth it. As you can see by the picture below, I did manage to get at least one picture taken of Sean. I had the absolute best time. If any of you here in California get a chance to see Sean P. and his comedy, do so. I promise you won't regret it. He's even opening for Sinbad next month! I know this was a bit long winded, and I appreciate all of you bearing with me. ; ) Have a great day/evening.

Glad to hear your friend was able to get you in to see his act. With all that you have been thru last week, you needed something to take your mind off of Meg for a nite. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

Sounds like you had a very good time. I'm glad that you were able to go have some fun and see your friend. You deserved it after what you have been through with Meg. Who is this Sean P? I have never heard of him but of course I live in Ohio so that's probably why. That's pretty cool that he is opening for Sinbad next month. Sounds like he's a celebrity! That was really cool of him to get you guys in even though the tickets were sold out. Sounds like a great friend. It's really great that you were able to have such a good time and laugh so hard and to relax a little. :)

Me and my two most favorite people! - Me, my best friend, and Sean (aka The Hawaiian Comedian)
I tried to add a picture of him with my original discussion, but it didn't show up. So hopefully, it works this time, and you'll get to see what he looks like. If not, I'm adding his pic to my profile and you can see him there.

I am so glad that you got to do something fun as they say that laughter is the best medicine. I am very happy for you. That was wonderful for him to let you in for free. I'll probably never get to California but maybe I'll get to see him on the Comedy channel someday.

He doesn't have one out yet that I know of (darn it!). But at least he's only a phone call or email away. He lives over in Fairfield near the bay area. So he's only a couple of hours away....less time if I'm the one driving. Hahaha! Thanks so much hon.
