What do you do if you are noticing alot of your discussions are copycats? The subject titles are changed a bit, but the subject is similar...as if someone is using your old discussions for ideas.Arg! I don't want to cause problems for others & I know alot of topics are repeated just due to the population here. But I have noticed one person doing this and it's aggrivating me.Advice please? How long do I watch this go on?

You could report that person. Give them some disussions to look at and let them investigate. Mylot will check them out.

If you really feel that they are coping as the mylot staff to check it out. They can decide if they think they are.Sometimes when reading a discussion I think of a discussion to start that will go along with it but it is still not the same thing..Reread them again before reporting because you wouldn't want to wrongly accuse someone but if they are coping they don't deserve any credit.Thke care Sweetie

All the advice so far has been really good.I will just wait and watch and honestly hope it just stops, because truthfully I am not into causing a riff here. :)

This has happened to me on more than a couple of occasions. Recently I posted a topic and one of my friends posted a response. Within minutes she had posted a similar topic. I can understand people posting topics without first doing a search to see if the subject has already been discussed, but to answer the topic and post a similar one is just unforgiveable. I haven't deleted her but I don't respond to her topics as she is probably stealing all her ideas from other people.

It is not good if someone is copying however, having said that it is hard to know all questions that were asked. I usually come up with what I am thinking at that moment or day and really don't know if anyone has asked it before... Anyway, I guess if the question is repeated he or she will not have the same response.

While I have not yet experienced this I have read some posts where users we completely copying someone elses post. I agree that the numbers do account for some repitition. But there are users doing this. And Idoubt that it will take mylot long to catch on.
