Do you RESPOND to SINGLE LINE DISCUSSIONS?

I have seen mainly newbies who start discussion with single line. I don't know exactly that we will be paid according to our response or to the discussion. If suppose the discussion started is single line and i made a response of four to five lines, then will i be paid normally or i will be paid less because the discussion is of one line. How about you, do you respond to single line discussions? Can you explain and comment on this?

Usually I don't respond to single line discussions. I believe that someone should put a little more effort into a discussion then to ask things like" what is your favorite color?". I believe most of us are out of grade school.

ok. But if it is a newbie, then he/she won't be knowing the fact that we have to make discussion of many lines. Even when i was a newbie, i used to start discussion of one line. But as days passed by and i got used to myLot, i started posting quality discussions. So it will take time for newbies to settle and make quality discussions!

I don't generally respond to one-liners, simply because there isn't usually much to respond to. If a person wants a response, they need to start the discussion off with more than a question for a title and "do you?". At the very least, they need to provide the readers with their opinion of the topic and give some idea of what they're talking about. I've seen a lot of one-liners that didn't even make sense; perhaps the poster was a non-native English speaker, but if there had been more to the post, the topic might have become clearer. There are times when a one-line discussion topic works, but not nearly as often as some users seem to think.

ok, So if suppose is not good in English but you are able to understand his discussion, will you respond to it? I agree to your point that there won't be anything to respond in such discussion but i believe that people who start such discussion, won't be knowing that they are not going to earn with such discussions. Anyway each one have their own rules, but i do respond to such discussions if it is of my interest :)

The discussion you start is not measured like your responses. As long as it begins a discussion and people are good enough to respond and keep it going the earnings can mount up. I respond to my friends discussion no matter how they are asked if I can contribute in any way. We need to keep our responses in a longer manner for real.

Ok, so the responses is what that matters rather than the discussion. Even i do response for my friends/newbies discussion even if it is a single line but i had a doubt whether i get paid equally. Anyway thanks for your kind response and explanation :)

I usually don't reply to one-line discussions unless it seems as if it might go somewhere. Some people, especially newbies, don't realize that you have to give the readers some substance to reply to. If the person has a lot of one-liners, but not very many points for replies, I figure they're just spamming, and I report them and give them a negative.

ok fine, you don't respond to one-line discussions, but why do you report or give negative rating. If you don't like such discussion then you can just neglect them. Instead of reporting as spam you can mail that individual and ask him to stop one liner discussions. I think by doing this their reputations will be spoiled!

Genarally it depends upon your quality of response that you made not the topic for which you respond to get earnings.Well I see the topic not its length to respond but if the topic posted is expalnative enough it helps me to response well. Its better to gat more response if you have posted a topic which is having more lines. But if the topic is attractive for me no mater how much lines it contains,I respond it.

Ya i agree that quality is more important that the quantity but then myLot wants to be as descriptive as possible, so little quantity is also been considered. Even i respond to discussion which is of my interest. I don't see whether it is of single line or single word :)

mostly i wont do that but still responding in lines is better than responding in line.... so what the more u respond the more u earn.... so keep responding and keep earning.....

Yes, you are right, the more lines you add in the response, it is more good to earn. I have seen many people leaving gaps in between the lines, i don't know how myLot handles such responses!
