to those who have cats and dogs at home... how do your pets go along? do they fight often or are they sweet to each other? cats and dogs are said to be the best of enemies. but not so true when it comes to my pets. my dog and my cat loves to play all the time. there are times when they share food in the same bowl, sleep together and they also have the same bowl for their water. at times when my cat goes out of the house and my dog is left inside the house, my dog looks for the cat. if she (dog) finds out that he (cat) isn't around, she'll start crying until she falls asleep. how about you? are your cats and dogs mortal enemies or sweet friends?

You must be very happy to have been gifted with nature such a wonderfully unique pair. They say that it brings good luck to the family where they are settled.

I also raise both, dog and cat two times! My previously dog and cat can live together.Maybe because my cat is older than the dog so they can live in harmony..Even my puppy play (like the others puppy do--bite,playing around),the cat doesn't give a bad respond

hello lilaclady. i haven't seen you much around these days. glad you dropped by. yep. it's funny how these animals who were supposed to be enemies are more into understanding each other. i hope humans can be like that, too.

Ohh, how cute your pets are anne! .. I've got dogs and 2 cats but they are all inside their own houses. My mom wants them to be that way, she's so over protective with her pets and she tend to make them like nuns and priests you know. haha! lol (',)

Awww that's soo cute! MY dog and my cats also get along very well.FLuffy the older cat doesn't really socialize much with my dog tazz, but bayley the younger car things Tazz is his mom :) Like with your, Bailey drinks from Tazz bowl and sometimes eats his food too if I"m not paying attention. Tazz on the other hand will even move away so bailey can get into his bowl and eat with him, which is something that's I've never seen. I"m not sure what tazz would do if Bailey wasn't there because my cats don't go out but I'm sure tazz would be at least sad.

Yes, it is normal for cats and dogs to be quarrelsome. They hardly get along at all.

It's fun to have pets especially if they go along like that of your cat and dog. They grow and live in the same environment that's perhaps why they get along wit each other and that depends upon your traning and supply for they need not quarrel for their food and necessities. Cats and dogs can really be sweet friends.

we use to have a cat and a dog who are good of friends until a new dog came along .you better not let your dog be with another dog, it will kill the relationship. as if they talk!

I don't have pets even though I wish I had a dog...yes, cats and dogs are known to be best enemies but I am always told by many friends who have both in their homes that this is not always true...if they live in the same home since they are very little they end up being good friends and they can even behave as being brothers and sisters....how sweet of yours to be so close to each others...sometimes we can learn so much from our pets...a kiss to both of them!!!

That's one beautiful thing for your pets, maryanne. We have to dogs and one cat, and like most people have said, they don't get along pretty well. They can't even afford to share a bowl for food or even water, unlike your pets. :P And yeah, they often fight with each other, but if we see them fighting we always stop them cause we don't want any of our pets to get hurt and have scratches. :P

Well it's not the same case with my pet dogs and cats at home. They were the best enemies and every time they would be near to each other a total mess will result eventually.

My cat and dog are mortal enemies. Every time Jake (dog sees Wilbur(cat), he will start whimpering and barking until we start paying more attention to him than Wilbur. Jake does not like Wilbur at all.

We have two dogs and a cat, my cat thinks she is the most superior of the lot. My pets dont fight with each other for the simple reason that the dogs are scared of the cat. She not only scares them both but also comes and eats up the food for the dogs without touching hers.

I do not have any pets but my brother and his family do have a cat and a dog and they get along great. They play around with each other quite a bit as I witnessed during my stay in Texas. They are so cute together. I did not notice if either of them cried or meowed when the other one was not around. It is always nice to see cats and dogs that get along well with each other and do not attack or hurt each other.
