Hi, if you are not a diabetic in some pregnancy women can get gestational diabetes. This is like being a diabetic, but may go away after the baby is born. The best thing to do is talk to the doctor about this and a good diet for you. Not to over eat as gestational diabetes can make a baby gain large amount of weight before birth or become under weight. Doctors can help you with the proper diet. Make sure if you have to check your blood sugars, it is very important to keep track and contact the doctor with results that are too low or way to high. Keeping you and the baby healthy at this time is very important. If your doctor recommends a good dietician it is important to follow up with the dietitian as they will be able to help a lot on the type of foods and proper amounts to have a stable blood sugar. Good luck.
