I have been in habit of taking pain killers from time to time. I am always having pain in my legs and lower - back and if I will go to the doctor, it will be a long process of making X-rays, and all types of tests etc etc.....for which I have no time , I am a working women ,harldly have any spare time ,so I just take a pain killer and go on.......But is it right. Can it do me some harm in future.

If you are continually getting pain that requires you to take pain killers to cope, then it is time you went to see a Doctor about it. You say that you are a working woman with hardly any spare time, well I say that if you constantly need to take pain killers you should make the time. The alternative to not getting it checked out is that one day you could find that you have a serious problem and can no longer work. What is more important to you, your busy life now or no life because you didn't take time to get yourself checked out thoroughly? Some pain killers can and do cause all sort of medical complications but they do not become apparent until long after they have done their damage .... so take the time now and get yourself checked out. So, you have to take a day off work but I know what I would be doing if it was me in your situation. Others might disagree with what I am saying but that is how I feel about the matter ... take some time now and you will know whether there is a serious problem or just something that comes and goes due to the stresses of every day life.

definatly!!!!!!!! painkillers is a big NO NO!!! I DON KNOW MUCH BUT MY PARENTS NEVER ALLOWED ME TO TAKE WHEN I WAS I GIRL AND NOW MY HUSBAND NEVER ALLOWS ME!!! its better to bare pain then popping pills.... you should have it only once in a while that is also in extream condirtions! it has many side effects!!! and you said you don have time to go to doc??? baby now you are running from long process,,, god forbids if you have anything serious and you dont cure it at early stage how much ypu will have to run latter??? so take my advise and go to doc earliest!!! Health is most precious, so compromise with anything but not health as its an old saying "HEALTH IS WEALTH"

I guess you shouldn't drink pain killers all of the time... Some experts say that excessive intake of pain killers make the body so dependent of those medications.. On the other hand, if you really are experiencing pain, then there really must be something wrong that will require medical expertise... Hope you could get well... happy posting!!!

Well i thinks it's not right taking medicines without doctors prescription even if its an over the counter medicines. Take time to go to doctor even if its a long process so that your sickness will be diagnosed and proper medications will be prescribed especially your suffering from lower back pains. It may not just be plain stress or over fatigue or muscle strains due to working that you have. Maybe a general physical check up is recommended. Taking unprescribed medicines may damage our valuable internal organs especially our kidney.
