The best way of keeping one self fit is to maintain ones body weight. It is generally the over weight or the obesity which most of the people around the world they are suffering from and this over weight leads to many number od ailments! Diabetis, heart problems, arthritis are very few names which are very commonly known to every one, to name! There are many other diseases which have the over weight as their aeteology. To have a check on ones body weight one has to know his/her body weight forst and then according to the height and the age one has to see how he/she is doing! Then on regular intervals one should weigh oneself and maintain a record as to see how the body weight is fluctuating so that the remedial measures can be promptly taken ! Do you weigh your self on regular basis and maintain a record of your body weight? Please respond! Thanks!

I don't own a scale and the only time I do see how much I weight is when I go to the doctors and they weigh me. I don't have any kind of a weight problem and so I don't see the need. My husband is on the other hand very self conscience about his weight. I don't want a scale in the house because he is so obsessed I don't want him to weigh himself everyday and put up with him going on and on that he needs to lose weight. He never does.

I don't regularly check my weight. I feel like I don't need to check because I've always have my weight proportional to my height. I only got to know my weight when I have my kids visit their pediatrician. Sometimes my youngest wouldn't want to have his weight check so I carry him and weigh ourselves then I let somebody carry him then weigh myself alone then subtract my body weight from our combined weight to get his own. But I guess it will be advisable for people, usually you have hypertension and heart problems or even those healthy people, to regularly check weight because a lot of sicknesses nowadays are related to our being overweight or underweight.

I check my weight pretty often. I am a bit healt conscious and the index to being healthy is maintaining our weight well within the body mass index. Our height and Weight should be propotionate. It is very important that we maintain our weight as a score of diseases will haunt us otherwise. There are a lot of people suffering from diseases related to obesity. A sound body leads a sound mind. It is very important that we keep ourselfs fit and fine. Its our body and we are responsible for it.

I'm not as concerned with weight as I am with health and body fat percentage, because depending on people's height and genetic dimensions and water weight, weight often fluctuates, sometimes even daily. Body fat index is a better indicator of if someone is overweight. I know athletes who have a high weight number when they step on the scale, but you would not call them fat...in fact, they look thinner than the casual person!

I weight myself everytime I suspect I might have gained a few pounds, and to keep an eye on my BMI index etc. I mostly go by body fat % and waist measurements though, it's more effective for me.

Yeah, i have one in my bathroom, one in the kitchen. :) this way i know how much kilos i ate and how much i weigh without clothes on. :) body weight measurement is important as you can psyche yourself to loss some weight. If you don't like what you see at the indicator, do something about it!

I check my weight as often as I can. But I do it in contrary for most of the persons who weigh, because they are worried of gaining. I myself check for I wanted to gain weight, I'm below 90 lbs age 26. I'm doing it because I know its not also healthy.

I used to check my body weight everyday, until my gym instructor told me not to check it everyday, but i should check it only once in 15 days or maybe a month, so i stopped checking it on a daily basis and ever since my body weight has been constant...

Since I was an avid follower of Weight Watchers, I can tell you that they recommend that you weigh yourself once a week at the same time every time you weight yourself and in the same clothing. This is the best way to give yourself a true picture of if you are maintaining, losing or gaining. I did it that way up until a few months ago, and then I stopped for some reason and never started it again. I guess I'm always afraid that I will find that I have gained weight.

I usually check my body weight once a week just to see if I am maintaining the same weight or what the story is. Its interesting to see what your weight is after some meals, or lack there of. Also going to the gym then weighing yourself also affects the result, so I always weigh myself in the morning when I have just woken up, so that nothing will influence the result.
