Okay to my mind a silly question, but I was just wondering if anyone is superstitious about Friday the 13th? Personally I'm not, and actually in most cases GOOD things seem to happen then especially if there is a full moon...no kidding

Well I am some what. I was in a car accident on Friday the 13th when I was a child so I'm a bit nervous about going out on that day. Now my brother though has an actual phobia about it. Of course he's one that should be locked into a room filled with nothing but soft things on that day. If he's going to get hurt it will be on Friday the 13th. He's just one that is very unlucky on that day. Whether or not it's his subconscious causing it doesn't really matter since it still happens.

It's just possibl your brother is attracting mishaps on that day, cause even on a subconscious level he's thinking about Friday the 13th as being unlucky--I guess it's all the power of the mind kind of thing

The accident I was in he was driving. He wasn't at fault though. I think he attracts the accidents or negative energy on that day with his mind but that still doesn't mean I'd want to drive with him on that day. I'll just stay clear. I don't want to have something to happen by association.

I feel the same way. Friday the 13th's have always been good luck for me. Last Friday, my partner was able to get off work early. That was a plus because we do not get to spend much time together because of his long hours. And you know, I remember some other nice things happened that day too...but for the life of me, I just can't think what they were! ha ha So, with the exception of the migraine (which is just part of my almost everyday life), it was a pretty good day.

I'm not either. I actually lost my virginity on a Friday the 13th :) Plus 13 is one of my lucky numbers. My husband also has also liked Friday the 13ths too. (even before the above mentioned :)) I understand though were the superstition came from. It came about because on Friday October 13, 1307 The Knights Templar were hunted down and just about completely eradicated by the early orthodox Church.

Friday the 13th does not bother me at all, in fact I like it. The only thing I don't like about Friday the 13th is the movies that just kept coming and coming and coming. I am not overly supersticious, but I do hedge my bets just in case...lol

I'm not surpestitious, I don't think. We talk about Friday 13 and when it comes we all make a note of it and joke about it. I think that is as far as it goes.
