Why is weed illegal while alcohol isn't?

Alcohol is legal although it can be more effective and strong on a person and can make him do things he isnt aware of, while weed is illegal when it less harmful.

I would like to know that too, I know I prefer to be around people on the weed that the booze, they are much nicer to be around...

its illegal because the government cant put taxes on it if it was legal because too many people grow their own goods.
