How to create a custom referral link in mylot?

Hi friends, when i saw my referrals page, there was a line in it saying that " Finally, you can append?ref=username to the end of any URL on mylot and create a custom referral link". I would like to know how to create this custom referral link.. Have you created anything like this till now on mylot?
