What is it with people

Why is it that people talk about the the mistakes that people make, never the good things that people do. I would like to think of myself as a caring person. I’ve done a lot of good things for a lot of people, but often people don't focus on the good they only want to see the skeletons in your closet. They are quick to point out your faults never looking at their own. I realize that I'm ranting with this post, but what is it that makes some people so uncaring.

I believe that it's an inferiority complex type thing or lack of self-respect that make them point out the faults of others. That way they can deflect attention from themselves and their faults and weaknesses and focus on others...pretty sad way to behave really.

Most people justify the things they hate or dislike about themsleves by pointing out the flaws of others. If another can be brought down they feel better becuase they dont feel "flawed" alone.
Another thing of human nature is negative impact, its like retail sales, you can make 500 people happy and they may or may not talk about the great experiance, but you tick one person off and you can bet your life they will tell a hundred people about it.
We live in a negative world. Everyone is the pascamist, everyone feels alone, even when surrounded. Everyone feels the need to be elevated above others, hence why they just tare other down, its much easier than building themselves up.

There is a verse in the Holy Bible which states that we should tell our brother his fault and perhaps that was given more weight than the verse which says that we should give honor or respect to whom it is due. There is also a verse which says that we should not expect to be appreciated for doing what we are supposed to do. Doing good is what we are supposed to do and therefore that might be the reason why people do not notice what good we are doing. Let us just do good as doing such things to the Lord and it's up to Him to give us the rewards as He said that He will give rewards to those who do good.
