What do you think is the best contraception?

I just had a baby and haven't decided on a contraception method, so far. I am quite hesitant to try one just yet. This is my first baby and I am done for now after a major surgery.

I'd say if your done for awhile get an IUD. That way you dont have the pressure of remembering to take a pill every day, or if you did the shot, you could have side effects for months until it wears off. That's what I would do, but i'm not the best example as I have 4 kids and 1 on the way. I just never made time to get my IUD.

Thanks for the advise! I eill take note of that. You must enjoy having 4 kids. It's a lot of fun, for sure. Goodluck on your motherhood.

I hate to tell you, but I think abstinence is the best contraception, or tubal ligtion. As having the tubes tied is permanenet, and I don't know if you are ready for something like that, perhaps one of the injection methods?
