It depends on discussion, and on response also. Some one line responses may be very good. Only response I personally do not accept is 'I don't know'. As for myself I'm trying always to write more, knowing that mylot likes 25-liners much more (LOL!) But offline, in real life I'm an oneliner myself.

I think they are a waste of time. Mylot deletes them as they have no meaningful or substantial content. I don't usually even respond to them because of that.
The guidelines state:
Don't Start a new discussion unless you have something of substance to say.

I don't have a problem with that. Sometimes a question can only take one line and it can be a very good one. I know that mylot encourages people to make longer discussion and answers. You can see on the left when start or answer a discussion it says: Please be as descriptive as possible.
