What are they? For me, the best two I've had so far, are Stone's Smoked Porter, and Stone's Imperial Russian Stout. The Smoked Porter had a smoky, meaty flavor with chocolate and coffee, and the IRS had a VERY thick mouthfeel, with dark fruit, chocolate, malt and alcoholic flavors. Both tasted very natural and very delicious, were rather thick, and poured almost pitch black. The worst? Tecate. I had it once at a local Mexican restaurant, and I couldn't even finish it. It had a HORRIBLE metallic aftertaste that made it seem like I was sucking on a handful of coins. I don't know how anyone can even drink this. I seriously thought I was going to be poisoned if I continued drinking it.

I had some Schlitz back in the '80s, I think, back when they were using corn syrup in it. It tasted absolutely vile; it was undrinkable, watered-down, sweet-tasting, weasel-piss drek.
