How important do you think it is that your child learns to read. Eg: I believe its very important. Without the ability to read, I think would have a huge impact on that childs life. Whats your stratedgy to encourage your child to read often, and what are the benefits?

Reading is very important not only to children. When yuo know how to read you'll be informed and you'll be knowledgeable and you won't be fooled easily. In my country there are voters who don't know how to read and also write.. and that's really bad. They're so unlucky.

hi there, hey thanks for responding. You are exactly right, I agree. It is very important to know and to learn how to read. You cant have everything the world has to offer if you dont know how to read. You wouldnt pass your drivers license and a whole lot more...

I think it is very important to encourage your child for reading. As all of us know the benifits of reading. my son is very young now, he is a non reading child, but still I make it a point to read stories for him daily, I uaually brought stories book for him, and read them for him. At the age of four he is started showing the interest in reading , he asked me mummy when i can read my own book. i am happy with his developing interest.

I don't know...truly i don't know.. You see i was the one which i read it book after book when i was child and all time when i have a little free time i read it with passion, from love book until scientific...but was another time...and now seems to be very difficult to teach your kid to read.. My daughter start to read from 7 years i think(i mean books) (she is little over her ages...i know...)and until i convinced her to read i was using a lot tactics...but worked... but with so many information in internet is very difficult to make a kid to read...
