i have watched (and danced with it) a lot of dance movies coz i really love dancing esp hiphop. my favorites are the bring it on movies and the first save the last dance movie. i love those dance steps they used in the cheerleading contests and julia stiles contemporary piece when she was auditioning for the ballet school. the music was also great. what's your favorite dance movie?

I also like some dance movies. I love Save the Last Dance and Honey. I love Honey because it is a really inspiring movies that teaches you to believe in your dreams and that you should persevere to reach it. I also love how Save the Last Dance show how important it is to bring out the real you, your desires and dreams and be thankful of people who love you and are always there for you. The soundtrack and the moves are really great and both are a good movie that dancers and those who loves watching them will really enjoy. And yeah, even those who don't might like them too.

yeah. the second save the last dance movie was great too. but nothing beats the original. and it has the same plot, girl is a ballerina and learned how to dance hiphop ang got involved with a "hiphop" black guy. with honey, i just wish i saw honey dancing in a missy elliot video. just like in the 3rd bring it on movie, the cheering squad got to appear in rihanna's pon de replay video. ^__^

Hi there! Thank you very much for choosing my post as the best response. I love that movie too. The moves were wicked and it's a really fun to watch movie. I've watched it three or four times and will still watch it if ever it will be shown on HBO or something.

Honey - Her dream. Her terms. Starring Jessica Alba and Lil Romeo.
The dance movies I enjoyed are 'Save the last dance' and 'Honey'. I like both movies but I like the story plot of 'Honey' better because it focuses on a Honey's dream to teach and help kids fulfill their dreams in dancing. Honey (Jessica Alba) is a sexy, tough music video choreographer who shakes up her life after her mentor gives her an ultimatum: sleep with him or be blacklisted within their industry.

i like honey too! the dancers were great although i thought at some scenes jessica alba looked awkward in dancing hiphop. and the last part of the scene where missy elliot was seen was really funny. i thought i was going to see her dance with jessica alba. too bad. ^__^

one dance movie that i really enjoyed watching was the movie of jennifer lopez and richard gere. i can't remember the title but it is a story of a husband who wants to try a different thing. he always had a tidious routine so he thought that maybe he could do some change as well as have fun in doing it. what i love most about is the actors that played the roles plus the fact that this film showed that we can have many different partners in our dances but there can only be one partner for our life.

I'm not a fan of dancing in general and so I haven't really watched any. But I have seen Honey, which I was outvoted by friends in choosing a movie to watch. It wasn't too bad, but in general, I'm more into music (instruments) and sport rather than dancing.

so far i have only watched 2 dance movies and they are, dirty dancing and Step up ^_^ it's hard to make a choice between the 2 movies because the dances are different.. But i will prefer, Step up.. As in the movie, they combine both hip hop with ballet and makes the whole movie so interesting.. In the end, a very nice yet graceful hip hop ballet dance came up and i was hooked to that movie ^_^

I love " Save the Last Dance" and "Dirty Dancing" the best! Save the Last Dance had a lot of great choreography moves, and the fact that they are very easily done for those who are rhythm inclined when it comes to music. I personally learned them quick, and enjoyed dancing to them, but for those that aren't so experienced, this is a very good movie to introduce them to hip hop and the moves that have been taking over the clubs for year. Dirty Dancing is great, because it is very similar to the lambada and many dances that are in that movie have also helped to produce much of the moves today. It is somewhat close to reggae, in the sense that those moves require to be close to your dance partner. I think there is a lot to be learned from movies and the choreography that is seen within them. Dancing is definitely a silent communication between people, but so much can be said by just one step. :]

hi phenomenal! i can feel that you really love dancing! to say that dancing is a silent communication between people just shows that you just don't love dancing, but you're serious with it! i wanted to learn the steps in Save the Last Dance but i don't have its video. if i just have it i think i can learn it especially Julia Stiles piece when she was auditioning.
