What was the last lie that you told your husband or wife ?

Maybe something small or something huge. But what was it ? Were you looking to stay out of the dog house or maybe protect their feelings. Or was it another reason all together.

I saw this and began laughing...sorry. With my ex-husband, the only lie I ever told him was, "I do"! No seriously, the wedding had been planned, everything was being done and I wanted out so badly, but felt too guilty to say so. Instead I cried on my way to get married and ended up in a marriage full of (what became) abuse, infidelity, and life threats from my partner. Even though I gave 100% to my marriage and stepkids, I should have listened to my inner voices before the wedding day. I finally was able to get away, pretty much unscathed with my kids 6 years after the initial "lie". As you can guess, this is a true account that was written in a way trying to be funny. In all seriousness, though, lying has no place in a relationship and I have no use for it.

I don't lie to my partner. I believe that if I have to lie to my partner then we shouldn't be in a relationship. I would never want him to lie to me about anything so of course I would treat him with the same respect.
