Im just havng one of those "boston tea party" mentality kinda days. Has anyone is the usa, or outside the usa ever noticed a "privalige to work" tax on there check stubs? Whats up with that? So its a privalige now to go bust my rump all day eakin out a pay check just so i can buy groceries to survive? Its a freakin privalige to not work and get money, its no privalige, bustin your tail to get a job and then workin your tail off just to get a few scraps from uncle sam, then have taxes strip you of a hefty chunk of the money you were "privaliged" to bust your rump for? Im sorry but every year i notice yet another absolutly obsurd tax out there that just doesnt make any sense at all. Like if you win a million dollars on a lottery you will be lucky to get half of it back, how on earth does that work? Do all countries have such stupid taxes too? Has the American government forgot one of the key reasons for the revolution? TAXES FOR EVERY STUPID THING! "Dont steal, the government hates competition" Give me your input, maybe inform me of some other completely retarded taxes i havnt seen yet.

The Occupation Tax used to be $10.00 per year, taken out of the first pay each year. Then it went up to $25.00 and now it is $35.00. If you are only making $125.00 a week, that can really suck. Taxes are the biggest fraud going. With all the money that is being raked in each year, there should be no National Debt and health care should be subsadized or free. Look at the lottery that most states have; they say that they are there to benefit older citizens but that's not the case. I know plenty of older people that are retired that eat cat food and skimp on their meds because they just can't afford to live on what they get from a pension. I could go on for an hour about this stuff but I think you get the point I am driving at. There are way too many taxes and not enough VALID explanations of what they are for and who they benefit. We work like dogs so that 7% of the population can reap the rewards.

Yup i agree. I actaully had a hilarious picture i was tempted to post with this but im sure mylot wouldnt appreciate it due to its profanity. It is the classic style poster picture of uncle sam pointing at you and says "I WANT YOU! (smaller letters below) TO SHUT THE F UP AND GIVE ME YOUR WALLET! I almost passed out thats how hard i was laughin at that one.

I started life in Pennsylvania, and yes, they have the Occupational Privilege Tax. Before I moved about 14 years ago, it was $10 a year, taken out with your first check. And if you changed employers, the new employer took it out, too, and it was a pain in the hind end to get that money back from the local government! Here in North Carolina, they don't seem to have that. But we pay personal property taxes on our vehicles every year. I hate that! To my mind, they taxed the thing when I bought it, wasn't that enough? Now they have to tax it every year, too? I guess the trade-off there is that our real estate taxes are low. The government will getcha one way or another. Some places are just more obvious about it than others.

Yes you have a point, and WHAT? A tax on your car? even after its paid off? They probably just figure since you paid the sales tax and will own the car for a long time after its paid off they will nckel and dime you on it untill they can steal more from you on your next new car. Thats stupid. Whats is happening to uncle sam? seems he is no longer wearing a cap and vest but a hoodie and ski mask.
