What's the one article of clothing that you won't skimp on, price wise?

For me it's bras. I'm sorry but if the girls are happy, the outfit's not happy either! LOL Is there a particular item that you will not think twice about spending good money on?

I would say shoes. I walk a lot and like to do so, and bad-fitting shoes can damage the feet, aside from being painful. In the past I've had cheap shoes that hurt with every step, or rubbed against my Achilles tendon, etc. Cheap shoes aren't worth it.

Exactly, shoes and boots! Last autumn I paid over $200 (it's a quite high price for a pair there in Estonia, if you aren't buying designer boots!) for winter boots, and they are worth every cent of my investment.

Well that's easy for me too-- Bras all the way! Even cheaper bras are expensive in larger sizes... I prefer Victoria Secrets- Their bras seem to last the longest and they have alot of different varieties. You are right when you wear a cheap bra that doesn't support you- you just don't look good. Your bra pulls off your whole outift. Also sports bras. When exercising you need a good bra to keep you in place. I have bought a couple of WalMart cheapies-- thinking what the heck it's only a sport bra-- Boy was I sore the next day!

I can never find anything at our local VS store! Oh I've made the mistake of purchasing WalMart specials too and I've tossed them out within 48 hours! lol

I agree...I buy all of my bras at Victoria's Secret. They hold up so well. They have bras that are comfortable and well constructed. I love them!

I won't skimp on a bra, as no support and jogging is a terrible thing for any women. Right now, I work out 7 days a week, so there is no way I'm wearing a cheap bra and living in pain. I have never purchased a bra from Wal-mart.

Bra's definitely are top on the list followed by shoes ( good walking/running shoes, classic dress shoes)and really well made, fabulous fabric dress coats. I love my jeans but have yet to be able to pay the $$$$ for top designer jeans when I can find good fitting jeans for reasonable prices. I also will part with some good dollars for a beautiful bag that I know I will use time and time again!!

I don't skimp on coats. I live in a harsh, cold, damp climate and that is one thing I won't go without. They have to be warm and weather proof and some how not make me look like a total frump, even if I amcovered in mud and dog hair!

I wouldn't skimp on shoes. Shoes are really an investment and can really do damage to your feet if wearing a shoe that is below standards. I have learned to shop for quality when shoe shopping rather than quantity. In other words, I'm done with Payless and I go instead to higher priced outlets that sell name brand and designer shoes, but at a discount. I'm still saving some money even though the shores cost more than at Payless, but I'm getting a finer quality of shoe that will last as long as I need them to.

I totally agree. I just went out, and bought one for almost $30, but I didn't care. It was so comfortable, I couldn't believe it. And for me that is hard to find a 36DD!!! So when I find one that is good, I buy it then and there, no matter the cost!!!

Oh yes... hair is my other thing I won't skimp on. If I can't afford it, I don't get it done by a cheaper place! LOL I have ONE person who does my hair and only her!

Yup, I'm in the same situation as many previous posters. Age has taken its toll, and 'the girls' need a very supportive bra. That is the one item of clothing that I will not consider skimping on! If my bra doesn't offer support then nothing will fit correctly! Without a good, supportive bra, I'd have to go up a waist size in slacks! Ha!

For me also it is a bra. I have to have one that fits very good and will last a long time. Also if it doesn't fit right the chance that your blouse or shirt that you have on won't fit right either.

Yes, for me it will be underwear too. You may have the most expensive gown on you but if you have bad underwear. Hmmm?! I don't think you'll be able to enjoy your gown. So primarily, that's what I won't skimp on, regardless of the price. (^^,)

Without a doubt! I will pay an arm and a leg if a bra is comfortable and makes jhe girls looks great. You are so right that if the girls don't look good the rest of your outfit goes down the drain too. I actually have an addiction to buying bras and panties. =X

if i can get a deal on anything I'll go for it. I always buy things on sale or clearance or even used clothes. To me clothes are as important as other things like food and paying bills. So i will them where i can.

I aggree, if I REALLY need a new bra and I can't find on sale then I will spend the extra and get one. When I do find them on sale I usually try to get as many as I can!

Oh, a really, really, really great top. I'm usually a jeans and shirt kind of girl so I don't spend much on great matching outfits. I don't spend a lot of money on jeans as I have a few pairs that I'm really comfortable with so I usually spend most money on tops. Sometimes when I see a great outfit when passing by a store, no matter how much it is as long as it looks good on me, I'll buy it.
