i keep finding formulas with integration in them. But i have no idea what integration is, what its used for or how to use it, could someone please explain the fundamentals. Cheers

i can explain you integartion is a mean by which we can find the total of a thing by taking only a small part of the same. we know circle is made up of small lines if we take such one line and integarte it ,we can calculate its area, volume, surface area and so on. integartion in some way is like submation. before learning integartion u should have idea of differentiation. for ex. if we have a radius of circle as r,its area=a then, a=integration of (rdr) ie a=r*r/2+c wher c = some constant if we equate it with area of circle which is 3.14*r*r then both will be equal. if u hav some typical doubts on same u can ask me .

you have to memorize the formulas first...integration is nothing but addition of several infinetisimally small terms as dealt in calculus...its used to find the area of several curves or conics...its highly used in mechanics to calculate the velocity and accelaration...and so on...best method of learnig integration is to go through the formulas ....learn them by heart..and practise lots of problems...
