I've seen some people keep some unusual animals as pet, such as pigs, rats, eagles and even bears!that's really very cool to own a pet of that kind, yet I haven't got a pet like that because I don't have enough time to take care of them.So have you seen some unusual pets? would you like to own a pet like that?

i think any mammal how ever cruel and wild it is can be made a pet, and all birds too....even vultures. In reptiles-- crocodiles, komodo dragon.... In fishes-- sharks, In invertebrates-- giant octopuses and squids... can any one handles these as "pets"??????? i feel these are the unusual pets and i wouldnt have them..

nothing unusual about a pet rat. they make really good pets. they're easy to look after, intelligent, affectionate, enjoy human company (my girl climbs to the top of her tank when someone comes near, so she can get out and have a cuddle. and pet rats are very very clean. a rat is only dirty if it lives somewhere dirty. they like to be clean. all rats need is company, food, water, and their cage or tank cleaned out regularly (fresh bedding etc) you can even train them to go to the toilet in the same part of the cage, so you can just change that part more frequently to keep it fresh. rats are really lovely pets.

You are really a person of patience and love.Actually I know someone who also keep a rat pet(mostly called Holland rats). They take good care of the pets at the beginning period of time, the n they lose patience and discard the poor rats.

I used to know a girl who had a squirrel for a pet. She had a large ferret cage for him and he was a busy little fella. She rescued him when he was just a little thing, evidently he'd fallen from a tree and was in pretty rough shape. I always thought that would be kind of a neat pet. I don't think I'd own anything too time consuming, because it doesn't leave much time for anything else. I remember my mom really wanted to buy a tiger when the exotic animal farm near us was selling all their stock. She ended up vetoing the idea when she realized having a tiger and several dogs was probably a recipe for disaster.

Squirrel is really loveable and i have seen someone keep it as pet ,too. And I think it's wise for your mom to give up that idea, because tigers and dogs will probably never get along well with each other:)
