Sad, but true...soilder's story

I have mentioned before that I live close to a very large and highly deployed ARMY base. We have lost many, many soilders from our base in the war. Tonight I was in a local conveinient store and the lady behind me just broke into tears. She found out today that her husband sho she was expecting home in June has been extended another 3 or more months. He has been gone over a year and all of their family is not located locally. Her little boy was so adorable and he told her that he would take care of her. She immediately pulled herself together and apologized to everyone. At this point, I spoke up and told her that there was NOTHING to apologize for...she is worried, she is lonely, and she is trying to keep a family together through it all. It is so frustrating to me that this war has been allowed to go so far and that families are literally being separated for more than a year, some permanently. When will it stop? What is it going to take to get our soilders back home? Grrrr...please keep this woman and her son in your thoughts as well as all the other soilders that work so hard for US...

I have a brother over there and know where she is coming from. I don't know what I would do if it was my husband. It is bad enough that it is my brother.
