There is no harm in using things of your elder brother. This is happening in almost every family in India. Things are very expensive, so by using things of your brother and not asking for new one's you are helping you parents by being a good boy. So you see indirectly you are already doing something for your family. So feel proud about it. And if your parents understand you, then they should atleast, on your birthday, buy you some new clothes and a pair of shoes, because you really deserve it. Other things like purses, calulators, music players can be shared , that should not be problem. Anyway , you are not the only one, familes are full of such sharing brothers and sisters, so just be happy. Don't mind it at all.

Hi Manish, It is common among family members. I got four younger brothers, all of them enjoy using my clothes, shoes, bags, belts, jackets etc... I too use mymaternal uncles clothes etc...

I guess it is a way for some families to save money for more importnat things like food and the bills. I never had to share too much with my brother other than a room and our 5th grade teacher Mrs. Moore lol. There were many things that my brother let me have when he out grew tham like many of his toys and books and other things. Not because I could not afforid my own but because they ment more to me being that they came from my brother who I love.

Hi,manish.I think it's common to own these used second=hand things, for it's not only cheap but also safe some time than the new things.I'm going to have a baby, and my nephew has a lot of toys,so I decide to let my baby own these toys ,that can use little money, the clothes is the same situation.

Well, I'm the younger one too. I always used to get used things from my elder brother. Also, from my cousins, sometimes. I don't have any problem, it's just a little weird when they come to your house and you're wearing their stuff. But I already got used to it. As long as it's in a good state, there's no problem getting used things from my elders.

first the younger ones have tendency to spoil the things. so it is better to give them the older ones first. secondly, younger ones have habit of liking the things that they see in their elder's hands and mostly things are not passed by elders to youngers, they are demanded by them

I guess it's a good attitude of ones family to pass on things that is still in good condition. Not because the youngest doesn't deserve new things or he/she is treated like an orphan who is deserving of all second hand things, but mainly because it's also a way of saving your family expenses. You should be proud them that you take a greater part in helping you family to cut some expenses, don't you think?
