I love chocolate. I don't know if I could live without it, however, I just found out that it is probably the main trigger for my migraines. Any suggestions for substitutions.

I get migraines too, but my triggers tend to be nitrates. I do have a suggestion though. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant, which mean that I had to give up sugar and high starch foods. Up until then I had had a daily chocolate habit. I couldn't get through the day without at least one, or sometimes two whole chocolate bars. After 2 days of going off sugar, my chocolate cravings completely disappeared, so much so that if someone offered me a choice between a chocolate dessert and a stick of celery, I'd be just as likely to choose the celery. (I cannot tell you how amazing the change was, because I lived for chocolate for most of my life). So, I'm pretty sure it was the sugar in the chocolate, not the actual cocoa that I was addicted to. It's now been 5 years since I last ate sugar or junk food. I haven't missed it, my skin is super healthy looking, and I feel great. I also have fewer migraines since I started eating a healthier diet. Good luck in finding a solution.
