Having a Computer is Time Consuming !

Once you own a computer and start to use it on the internet then join programs like mylot you start to make friends. Then we get emails which we have to answer so we have to keep up with all the programs and respond to them to. BUT if we leave it for a couple of days, WOW we have to start catching up with the work that has built up and that is more time consuming. Do you feel the same?

Well, if you just give in some time everyday to all those forums, and communities that you have joined on the internet, i guess it should not be as time consuming. INFACT, i'd say, even if you dont post, you are certainly under no obligation to 'cover up' for those lost days. I mean, it's not a job. Is it? i doubt that! Lolx. You are doing it for pleasure, so doing something for pleasure, it should not be something that is necessary. Anyway, now that is what i think, and opinions can greatly differ. So, goodluck to you and cheers!

As you point out it is a pleasure and but being on forums similar to mylot does make it a very interactive medium and REAL people are involved that respond to your thought that you have sent to thier space as well.

Sometimes I go out of town on business for a week. Normally during that week, I take a break from the internet and when I come home I is unbelievable. I sometimes have almost 200 emails because of all the sites I belong to. There sure is a lot of catching up to do.

Yes, I agree, the computer is certainly time consuming. I went away for just four days and returned this evening, only to find a total of 688 e-mails in my in-box. These were mainly sites which I earn from... my in-box was full of e-mails from them. In fact, just two of those 688 mails, were personal ones. I also find that time passes very quickly in Mylot, and before you know it, you've spent a whole day in here, but I'm not complaining because I love the people in here and have a lot of fun with the discussions. Brightest Blessings my dear friend.

Yeah, I have the same feeling too. Actually to me, Internet is more time consuming then the computer itself. When my Internet connection is down, then I have no reason to use my computer anymore, then I have more time to do other stuffs, such as housework, read books, chit chat with friends. Once the Internet connection is back, I'll always stick to the computer. Sometimes, I wish to lock my computer when I go home, so that I can spend time doing some other things. ^_^

That is very true but if I lock my computer away I would feel that I would be locking a friend in the cupboard!.

Amen! Story of my life LOL I'm having this problem now and i can't keep up with things, I only login to mylot once every few days and have other sites that I'm committed to. it starts as a distraction or entertainment but ends up like "duty" that you even feel guilty when you can't fulfill ..

I too feel the same way. I am on many survey sites as well as paid forums. I also have many many emails. Each day I check, I have about 50-70. It is sometimes unbearable how much I need to do to make money. Of course it still is the easiest job I have ever had, sitting at home making money online. My husband does get mad at me sometimes when I spend too much time on the computer though. It is very time consuming, just like you said.

Why not get another computer and your husband could join you which would be half the work and twice the enjoyment.

Yeah, lots of work and you are not even getting paid adequately. But as long as you enjoy it you can clean them all up and be back to where you left off. If you felt overwhelm then it's time to sell the computer and do something else you enjoy. We are here because we love it and enjoy everything about computer and the internet. I don't see myself leaving out the computer yet. Try managing your time by doing the easiest one first.
