I tend to give a few papers a browse online daily, just to see what major news stories are being contained by the drivel shown in the papers

And there's me thinking newspapers are only good for eating your chips out of, or drooling over the half naked bods who haven't got an inch of cellulite anywhere on their body! I only get the local for jobs vacant and the paper on a Saturday for the FREE tv guide, ok so I'm a cheapskate sue me ;0)

Some times local news is more credible than the stories of the world as these seem to be strecthed out of all proportion and seem to be varying in certain ways, I'm sure they must make up 99 percent of every story that they think would be of interest, but to me the papers are far too boring to consider buying them, good for bog roll though!!

I do enjoy reading the paper, but only to figure out how slanted it is. I've also written for papers, which gives me another reason to buy them.

Hi, I haven't read a newspaper in about a year now, most the information and lets face it better information can be found on the net these days. I just got fed up with all the so called celebrity news in there, since when have girls and wives of footballers been celebrities? So now I choose what to read and don't bother with the expense and waste of the dailies.

Footballers wives should be given there own show frequently so we can blow them the hell up, and be rid of their selfish antics of shopping and pathetic money spending!

well its not exactly lies. but the fact is that the news change daily so its no sense to read a newpaper since the information you have acquired today will not come in use tomorrow. the whole story will be topsy - turvy. but i like puzzles and sudoko in a newspaper. other than that the tv guide is also interesting. comics are also fun.

Lies according to who? News has always been what it was. Coloured by those who produce it, sometimes intentionally, sometimes unconciously. Regardless they are still far superior to internet sites or television. Print is held far more accountable than television. The internet has zero accountability. You just have to know how to sift the sources and decide what is reliable and what is not.
