Does the separation of religion in school systems destroy culture? Honestly, by forcing people to leave there culture at home at the same time as accommodating our culture to fit theres, create a gap were we ourselves have to culture. The government doesn't want us to leave school as sikhs, muslims, christians, or jews, they want us to leave as whatever the government has put in as the standard of being a citisen and usualley this means leaving what we feel behind to gain acceptance. But what the people don't realise is the fact that even though the last generation has race distinctions this generation does not, no one asks anymore what country your from, what religious implications you have, because it has become socially taboo. But has this left any distinctions between cultures.

For government run school's, I believe that religion should be separated. Governments should place on preference in religion and in effect discrimiates no one. However, here in our coutry there are schools own by each religions and has very good curriculum that if one would really want ones children to grow up and know ones religion, then we enrol them under those schools and not in government or public schools.

In some cultures this is a standard practice, and as you say "leave the old behind" this is the ideal concept, where the old saying has merit, "when in Rome do as the Romans do"! But many problems arise when people do not leave their traditions and cultures where they came from! I never understand the point of going to a new land with a different way of life and trying to make their "own little empire" in the new land they go to! If they like and want their customs and way of life so much, why not stay where they are?? If the governments dont allow them to practice their customs where they are why bring their problems to a new place??

We do not suffer from this kind of problems here in Latvia. But I don't know if it's right to separate children in schools. This might lead to different conflicts between them.

Hi Culture and Religion are two different things, you must not mix them, Actually i think religion is made to increase universal brotherhood, but due to so many religions on this earth it has often created confusion for many people all over the world, due to which so many innocent killing are happening and every body is blaming religions for all this, so i thing having so many regions on this earth is a problem, and if it would have been like all of us belong to one religion believing on one God, problem would had been solved
