Dear Indian Users on myLot I would like you to know about getting payment through Paypal .. U don't have to wait until $150 to go for withdraw funds option. Procedure: Go to the www.xoom.com then to the "Send Money" option and then follow the instructions it says. On a later stage u will be asked a funding source, you can opt for Paypal there, you will be then redirected to the Paypal site and will be asked to enter you paypal email address and password just fill it up and you are all set to complete the transaction. Hope u have understood and if not then u can ask as many questions as much u like on this topic. I can't see Indians unaware about this and waiting hard to achieve $150 ... I will never wait for my Paypal account to reach $150 -- I don't trust Paypal much so I believe whatever is my balance just take it through xoom.

Hello But atleast u will be safe that u will receive your money.. by Paypal .. cheque option u will always have a fear in your mind that u will get your cheque or not.. Some people used to wait for -- 1 month and some are waiting even more than 3 months with no cheque .. and if u withdraw money with Paypal they will take $5 instantly and send the cheque with local ordinary mail. I always withdraw my money through xoom and I am really happy with their service. Atleast I am safe that I will receive my money

There's another better option to make a withdrawals for paypal India account holder. Mostly with free transactions services. you may check out my recent topic on "Paypal withdrawals solutions" at http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1000128.aspx and my personal blog with the same topic. http://my-solutions.blogspot.com/

Hai me again. I opened pay pal account. I may receive my payment this month. One more doubt please. If I buy through ebay, or other sellers, will there be any foreign exchange problem in India or Income Tax problem? Generally what people do? Can you please guide me?

Hello dear I do not have credit card. What should I do then?
• India

Dear I can only suggest you to get credit card .. otherwise you can operate your paypal account without credit card too but it will have some limits .. I am not sure of what are the limits. In the mean time you can apply for credit card.. it's easy to get a credit card.

Hello Dear Good to know that you opened paypal account .. Have you got it verified ?? It can be done through credit card .. It's better to make it verified .. if you have not done it .. it will have some limits on your account .. mine is verified. If you buy through ebay .. you won't have any foreign exchange of tax problem .. only thing -- you need to ask them how much the whole amount will cost you in dollars and they will let you know. I hope you know how to do currency conversion -- suppose you have 18 USD in your paypal account -- so 18 USD ( dollars ) = 724.140 INR ( Indian Rupee) .. I use this site for currency conversion -- http://pages.ebay.in/services/buyandsell/currencyconverter.html You can also use it to know your exact amount in INR.

Hello I guess u r quite a lot confused with Paypal. Tell me first are you a verified member of Paypal ? If no then get verified through Paypal .. just log into your paypal account and there u will see an option of getting verified -- for getting verified u need to enter your credit card details -- you must have added an credit card information on Paypal ?? If no then add it and then -- there is a get verified button -- which will say -- that $1 or more than this will be taken from your account and within 3 - 4 working days u will come to know about a number which is expanded user number of 4 digits I guess -- which u need to enter in the space provided to be verified -- u can check your credit card statement online -- or else u can call up customer care service after 3 - 4 days to know the 4 digit number for being verified. They will not be transferring your money online to your bank account to your credit card as this facility is not for Indians. Indians can either have to wait for Paypal cheque -- and have to make a minimum amount of $150 in their paypal account. I suggest you not to go for -- Paypal withdrawal money option in case u somehow make $150 in your paypal account. Go for xoom.com -- I have seen all Indians use this service to take their money out -- yes xoom takes some fees but still xoom is best as u know your money is secured and u will definitely receive your money. If u go for Paypal cheque option -- there is possibility that u might not receive it -- because paypal used to send cheque through very local and ordinary cheap mail which will arrive after exactly a months time or there is possibility that u won't receive the cheque.

Hi friend.I read about the payment in India. What i want to ask is if paypal is not going to send money through bank account thane what is the need of credit card verification? As i don't have one can i use credit card of any of my friend or relative for verification. Are they going to reduce the balance from the account. If yes, then from which account My paypal account or bank account.Also,xoon.com is going to send cheques which can be deposited into any account or do i need to open account for that. actually i am still a little confused.I have to wait for the balance to happen 25$?

Hi See u definitely need to have credit card because in my belief -- here in my lot to receive payment a member has to be a verified member on paypal .. and if paypal takes the amount of -- $1.88 or something then -- u will also get the money back in your account after u give out your expanded use enrolment number of 4 digits -- which comes in credit card statement or you can view it quite earlier if u are having online statement viewing facility for your credit card. I doh't think u should use credit card of any of your friend or relative because u need to write their name when signing up through paypal. In xoom -- they will send u cheque -- but u have to specify -- on which name u want the cheque -- Like suppose your name is Raj and u are having account in icici -- Then u will specify your name as Raj and then after receiving cheque just deposit it in your account -- you can also give out the name of your relative or friend -- if u are not having bank account -- when taking money through xoom.com

Dear Jo You are most welcome and yes you are right .. if we withdraw $25 .. it means -- 1000 Rs. but dear -- www.xoom.com -- will also take their service charges .. so I will not recomment you to withdraw your money through xoom specially when the amount in your paypal account is not much .. I can suggest you to go for shopping through Ebay India. Logon to www.ebay.in and search out for the sellers who are accepting payment through Paypal.

It's not necessary to get your paypal account verified but you will not have limits on your paypal account if you get it verified. You can only verify your paypal account with the help of a credit card -- International debit card won't work.

I knew about xoom but doubt its reliability. Is it reliable. Have you ever done a tracsaction? Paypal is trustable but i think i wont trust xoom unless i get some imput from someone who has already cashed out his money. Thanks BYE!

Thanks a lot for that info, but reallt speaking if xoom also cuts $8 for transferring amount , then i think $150 is not much to cash out from paypal directly!

I believe the fees to transfer the money from xoom.com is around $8 which I think is quite huge when you are transferring some amounts such as $20. Hope we can find some other means very quickly for us all.

Yes dear I too believe that $8 is a huge amount. If you don't have much amount in your paypal account and you don't wish to use xoom then best option is buy a product through Ebay India .. there are many sellers who accepts payment through Paypal funds. http://stores.ebay.in/touchnshine

Hello, First of all I'm glad that I have got an Indian friend to assist/guide me about how to withdraw funds from Paypal. I have signed in here as a new user and also opened a Paypal a/c. My question is, I have an ICICI Bank account. Will it be sufficient to give this Bank account number to paypal for verification or is it necessary to have a credit card since I do not have one. If so, will the payment be directly credited to our Bank account? Pls clear my doubt. Thanks in advance.

Dear vaidhyanathan You cannot verify yourself with ICICI Bank account details. To be a verified member of Paypal .. you need to have a credit card and need to furnish your credit card details to Paypal. It's not necessary to have a credit card but you won't get verified without credit card .. Also payment cannot be directly credited to your bank account because this facility is not available for Indians .. I request you to check the whole discussion .. make sure you go through each and every post and then you will find the answer to many of your questions. In case you still have doubts contact me again and I will be happy to assist you further.

Yeah it's a good idea -- u can purchase things from www.ebay.in :). Many sellers accepts paypal -- you can ask them -- and if they accept paypal then u can pay them through Paypal

Dear sukumar794 Well get yourself registered on paypal as soon as possible .. it's free to join paypal .. update your payment information -- write your paypal address over there .. because then only you will be receiving your payment .. secondly .. I won't suggest you to use xoom if you have just $25 in your paypal account .. would you like to pay $8 as fees to xoom ?? I don't think so you will agree with this .. better go for shopping at www.ebay.in .. search for the sellers who accepts payment by paypal .. ask them about this .. if some seller agrees then you can pay them via your paypal account and get your item otherwise if you take xoom help then you have to pay $8 as fees.
